Sopranos filming location mistakes

There is a lesson to be learned from the now-famous Sopranos filming location “Satin Dolls”.

It seems “Satin Dolls” or “The Bing” as it is referred to in the show is getting a lot of attention from tourists and groups that love the HBO series Sopranos. The famos bar is featured in most of the shows.

The problem is, “Satin Dolls” hides the matchbooks, napkins, and other items from their bar before these tourists come to visit. Anything that says “Satin Dolls” on it is removed. As the article says, if its not nailed down, they hide it.

What are they hiding it from? Why not have the promotional material get picked up and shown off to everyone. This is cheap advertising if I’ve ever seen it. Let the tourists take the napkins and matchbooks and show them off to their friends and family. They’ll come back for more.

The same goes for your business cards. If you aren’t running through hundreds each month, you need to start getting rid of those things. An old chinese proverb says “Business card in pocket does not put patient in chair.”
