What are you doing to “stir the pot?”
Yesterday, an Australian sprinter was disqualified from the Olympic games because the carbon fiber blades he wears as a double amputee gives him an unfair advantage.
Now I agree with the Olympic committee, but I also see the heart of the runner.
He is actively trying to change the world around him. Rules were made to be broken, challenged, and changed. This applies to any rule anywhere at any time.
I’m not advocating anarchy, but the silent majority rarely makes the headlines.
What are you doing for yourself and your profession that challenges the norm? You don’t have to break rules, or go head to head with the ADA or local dental boards, just take a step to be a little bit (or a lot) different. Do something that people will remember.
Change leads to progression… challenging generally accepted “norms” allows our business and professions to evolve.
