A Harvard researcher investigated the financial impact of customer retention on business and found that a small 5% hike in retention can increase profit as much as 95%. Take this into heart when deciding to cut significant internal marketing programs like a value building newsletter.

This isn’t rocket science. the longer a customer/patient sticks around, the more profitable they become. Usually within the first few months, a patient’s production has to pay off the aquisition costs (marketing and ROI). After they do so, everything they do is pretty much gravy. Keep someone around for the long term, and you can really make a lot of money.

When approaching a patient communication system, make sure it is one that adds value to your practice. not merely a small offering that gets glanced at and tossed away.
